JAGUAR Biography, October 2015
JAGUAR are a British heavy metal band formed in 1979 in their home town of Bristol. As a pioneer of speed metal, the band is considered influential for many other bands to follow, including Metallica.
In the past 36 years JAGUAR released two demos, 5 LPs, several 7”, compilations and live albums. The band played hundreds of shows all across Europe, building a reputation as a fantastic, energetic live act.
Coinciding with the 35th anniversary of the band, JAGUAR released their critically acclaimed LP ‘Metal X’ in late 2014 on GoldenCore Records/ZYX MUSIC. The album is widely considered as a spiritual successor to JAGUAR’s legendary debut album ‘Power Games’.
The band is currently working on new music and looking for a new singer!
